Ten of Cups, from the Ishtar Insights tarot deck

What Ten of Cups means

The obvious maximum for a water suit would be depth. The Ten counts in years. The arrangement it describes has to outlast the feeling that founded it — a household, a long friendship, anything obliged to keep working on the days when nobody inside it feels warmly towards anybody else. Mars takes the final face of Pisces, putting the element of effort at the close of the suit of merging, which is the pack admitting that something has to do the work on those days. Usually it is habit, the accumulated weight of having gone on before, and habit is indifferent to how anybody happens to feel this week. Most of what such an arrangement has is the length of time it has already run.

Upright

Imagine belonging as something people practice together. Notice the care, repair, and shared values that make an emotionally sustaining life possible.

Reversed

An ideal picture of togetherness may be hiding differing needs. Let the relationship or community become more honest, even if the image becomes less perfect.

A question to sit with

What does a good shared life require from each of us?
