About Ishtar Insights
I'm Genevieve, and Ishtar Insights is my place for tarot, astrology and the older ways of asking a question. It is meant to be one quiet room: free to use, careful about where things come from, and with nothing following you around while you read.
What is here
A daily card and full tarot spreads in five illustrated decks, with a page for every card. A birth chart with transits, returns, progressions, relationship charts and an astrocartography map. A Vedic chart, the Chinese zodiac and the Four Pillars. Numerology. The I Ching with all 64 hexagrams, runes, Lenormand, geomancy and playing cards. A daily horoscope for each of the twelve signs, and an archive of thirty-two historical and modern tarot decks to look at closely.
All of it is free. There are no advertisements and no analytics, and you do not need an account to use any of it. An account only exists so you can keep a journal of readings and find your chart again on another device.
How it is made
Calculated. Planet positions, house cusps, lunar phases, eclipses, returns and transits are computed in your browser with Astronomy Engine, an open-source astronomy library, and checked against published ephemerides. The Vedic, Chinese and numerology work is arithmetic done the traditional way, shown so you can follow it. None of this is generated or guessed.
Written. The meanings of the cards, hexagrams, runes and figures were written for this site. They are not copied from a book and they are not a translation of one. The daily horoscope and the weekly newsletter are different: each is written by a language model that runs on our own computer, working from that day's calculated sky, and checked before it is published. The newsletter is proofread by a second model. No outside AI service is involved, and nothing about you goes into the writing.
Drawn. The five reading decks and the illustrations for the other practices were made with AI image models, then chosen and typeset by hand. The decks in the archive are the work of their original artists and printers; the catalog notes give the source and rights for each one.
What it is for
Reflection and creative practice. A reading here is a way to look at a question from another side, not a prediction and not an instruction. It is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and it should never stand in for someone qualified to give that. Take what is useful and leave room for your own choices.
Your privacy
Charts and readings are worked out on your own device. Your birth details reach our server only if you sign in and choose to save them, and you can delete them yourself. The privacy page says exactly what is kept, where, and who else is involved.
