Six of Swords, from the Ishtar Insights tarot deck

What Six of Swords means

Departure is logistics before it is anything else: what can be carried, who is going, in what order, and what has to be left behind to make the rest portable. The Six is that stage. Its peculiarity is that a passage of real consequence gets conducted almost wholly through small practical decisions, not one of which resembles the size of the thing being done. The practical questions get asked first and answered first, generally by people in no condition to answer anything. Grief and packing occupy the same afternoon, and it is the packing that gets anybody anywhere.

Upright

A quieter shore may require a gradual passage. Take the practical support available, and allow a transition to be both necessary and emotionally complicated.

Reversed

An unfinished issue may be traveling with you. Name what needs attention so that changing the setting can become more than repeating the same pattern elsewhere.

A question to sit with

What support would make this transition more manageable?
