What Page of Wands means
Earth is the element that stays where it is put, and earth of fire is where the suit acquires a location: somewhere for heat to be kept, which is the difference between a beginner and a flare. In the households these ranks come from, a page was a post before it was an age — an attachment to somebody else’s work, learning by proximity and by doing the small end of it for years. That is the shape of the card. Its subject is apprenticeship, a relation with a duration and an obligation inside it, in which being unskilled is the arrangement itself.
Upright
Approach the unfamiliar with a learner’s appetite. Follow a lively question and let a modest experiment show you what the initial excitement contains.
Reversed
Excitement may be arriving in bursts without a place to develop. Reduce the promise, try the first step, and allow yourself to be inexperienced.
