Nine of Swords, from the Ishtar Insights tarot deck

What Nine of Swords means

An event occurs once and has a size. The expectation of it can be run any number of times and never acquires one; what accumulates across the repetitions is not evidence, though from the inside it is hard to tell the difference. Mars in Gemini puts the planet equipped for one decisive blow into the sign that does everything twice — force with nothing to land on and no instruction to halt. The faculty doing this is the ordinary one that makes any planning possible, working on material it cannot settle. Rehearsal is how a difficult passage is learned, and the Nine is that same mechanism applied to a passage that exists only in the person rehearsing it.

Upright

A worry can feel larger when it has no external frame. Put the concern into words, distinguish a possibility from a fact, and seek a grounded perspective.

Reversed

A repeating worry may be ready to be shared or approached differently. Notice the conditions that intensify the loop and choose one supportive interruption.

A question to sit with

What evidence or conversation would help me put this worry in proportion?
