What The Tower means
Sudden, external, and not asked for. The Tower names the collapse of something that was built — an arrangement, a certainty, a career, an account of oneself — coming down all at once because the correction was refused in instalments. Its Mars attribution is about speed, not malice: nothing in the card is punitive. It does not say the fall was deserved, and does not offer it as improvement in disguise. What it describes is pressure released from inside a construction that had a flaw in it from the start. The damage is real, and the card does not net it off against whatever comes after.
Upright
A structure that cannot hold is showing you the truth quickly. Let the false certainty fall, protect what is alive, and build from what remains real.
Reversed
You may be bracing against a necessary change. Soften the resistance enough to choose what comes down and what you want to save.
A question to sit with
Which truth is asking to be seen before it gets louder?
Traditional attribution
Mars. Attributions follow the Golden Dawn with Waite's numbering.
