Four of Wands, from the Ishtar Insights tarot deck

What Four of Wands means

Venus is in detriment in Aries, sitting opposite the Libra it rules, and the pack spends that uncomfortable placement on the suit’s card of settled enjoyment. The friction is the argument. Fours are the number of settlement — corners, enclosure, a shape that holds — and enclosure is close to the last thing fire wants. The claim being made is that a fixed form is what makes pleasure repeatable instead of accidental: a thing done once by luck becomes a thing done again on purpose, which is most of what a custom is. Nobody hands a form of this kind down. The people keeping it are the people who agreed it, which is what stops the enclosure hardening into a wall.

Upright

A threshold deserves to be marked. Recognize the people and simple structures that make it possible to feel welcome, celebrate, or build together.

Reversed

The idea of belonging may not match how a space actually feels. Make room for an honest conversation about welcome, expectations, and shared responsibility.

A question to sit with

What would make this feel more like a place I belong?
