What Queen of Cups means
Doubling an element removes the second term that would otherwise describe it, so this court has to be read off what water does to whatever enters it. Water dissolves without destroying: what goes into solution is carried whole and comes back out unchanged, which is a fair description of the rank’s function — taking something in entire without turning it into something else along the way. The limit is a chemical one, and it is exact. A solution saturates, and the concentration at which it does so was never anybody’s decision.
Upright
Listen closely without losing your own center. Sensitivity becomes a strength when feeling is met with patience and boundaries that allow care to last.
Reversed
Absorbing every mood can make it difficult to hear your own needs. Offer compassion without assuming responsibility for everything someone else feels.
