What Four of Pentacles means
A store exists in order to be run down, and running it down looks exactly like going backwards. The figures record no difference between a reserve doing the work it was assembled for and a reserve simply being lost — both arrive as a smaller number than last year — so the person who built it meets its correct use as damage. The Four therefore contains an instruction its keeper is disposed to disobey: hold until the bad year, then spend. The first half was rewarded every time it was obeyed and the second half never is. Nobody is congratulated for the year the savings ran out, which is the year they worked.
Upright
Protecting a foundation can be wise. Check whether the grip that keeps something safe is also preventing the exchange, enjoyment, or growth you want.
Reversed
Loosening control can make room for life, but release works best with intention. Choose what to share or simplify while keeping the boundary that truly supports you.
